The House
A single House, organised around judgment rather than volume.
An advisory and stewardship House with two practices and one standard. It is not a holding, a group or a portfolio, and it does not present itself as a conventional brokerage with a public catalogue.
The House begins with the circumstances of the matter, the authority granted and the evidence available. Its responsibility is to establish an appropriate course before momentum turns possibility into assumption. Its standing depends on the quality of the work it accepts, the discretion with which it is carried and the continuity it maintains across a matter.
Two practices operate under one standard: private advisory and stewardship for residence and ownership decisions, and selected business, ownership, commercial-property and real-asset matters.
The House is distinct from the principal it serves. The relationship is established through mandate, responsibility and trust — not by assumption.
The name
The House name is not translated. It is the same in every language in which this site is read, and it carries no acronym, slogan or mark.
The relationship
The House is distinct from the principal it serves — a family, an owner, a company or an institution. What connects them is a written mandate, agreed before work begins and revocable at the principal's request.
Tradition
A modern House in the merchant tradition.
The European merchant house combined judgment, relationships, ownership understanding and continuity across generations. Frères draws on that tradition while operating according to the responsibilities and permissions it holds today.
Judgment before action. Responsibility before authority. Continuity beyond the transaction.
Judgment
The question is not only what can be done, but what course is justified.
The House does not begin with an assumed sale, acquisition, financing or restructuring. It first seeks to understand the position, the available alternatives and the responsibilities that would follow from each course. The answer may be to proceed, to prepare further, to choose another route, to wait — or not to proceed.
The House exercises judgment within its own mandate. Banks, authorities, counterparties and appointed professionals retain their own decisions and authority.
What the House assumes
Four things are held to be true of every matter it takes on:
- I
A situation is not a product, and a principal is not a segment. Each matter is constituted on its own terms.
- II
Discretion is a working condition, not a marketing posture. What is not said publicly is not said privately either.
- III
Preparation precedes exposure. A matter that is not ready is not presented; it is made ready or left alone.
- IV
Continuity is the responsibility of the House. Decisions, dependencies and records are held together until the matter is closed.
The responsibilities
The work of both practices is described in the same six responsibilities, each agreed in writing before it begins. They are mandates, never products, packages or price levels.
Structure
The House is currently conducted through DGF & Co Capital Services GmbH.
DGF & Co Capital Services GmbH
Anton-Wilhelm-Amo-Straße 45, 10117 Berlin-Mitte, Germany
HRB 219323 B
No VAT number currently assigned
The House is led by Dawid Solomon Goldenberg.
Further structures may be established in future, but no structure is described, dated or announced here until the owner has confirmed its existence.
Appointed professionals
The House is not a bank, an investment manager or an investment fund, and does not conduct deposit-taking, investment management or other regulated banking or investment services. Where a matter requires reserved or specialist legal, tax, audit, certified valuation, investment, financing, insurance or technical work, the appropriately qualified or authorised institution or professional remains responsible for that work.
Reach
The House works from Berlin and is approached from other centres. The markets in which it is currently able to act are Italy, Germany and Denmark.
This describes capability, not presence. The House maintains no office elsewhere and claims no licence it does not hold.
Contact
A first approach needs no documentation, no reference and no commitment. It is read by the House itself.
