Begin a Conversation

A considered conversation can begin before the route is clear.

You may write without a brief, without a valuation and without a decision. What is needed first is only a description of the situation.

The House is approached in the same way whatever the matter — a residence, a business, a property, an ownership position or a situation whose shape is not yet visible. The form below asks for enough to understand the position and to decide where the work belongs.

A first approach creates no obligation of any kind. It is read by the House itself, and it is answered whether the answer is acceptance, a referral elsewhere or a plain statement that the matter is not one the House can serve.

What is assured

  • Your approach is read by the House and is not circulated, sold or added to any list.
  • No document, valuation or reference is required at this stage, and none should be sent before a mandate is agreed.
  • Nothing is exposed publicly at any point in this conversation, and you may stop it whenever you wish.

The first message

Write as much or as little as you wish. The House reads what arrives and replies.

A private note to the House

Data submitted here is processed as set out in the privacy notice on the Institutional Standing page.

After you write

A first reply comes from the House itself. Where the matter falls outside what the House does, that is said plainly and, where a more suitable institution or professional can be named, it is named. Where the matter is one the House can serve, a private room may be opened for it, and access to that room is granted by mandate, is short-lived, revocable and recorded.

Already a principal

If you are already a principal of the House, your private room has not moved. Consolidating the public identity of the House did not merge private records or permissions.
